WIZARDING SCHOOLS AROUND THE WORLD: INDIA

India’s Academy of Sorcery boasts an impressive display of flashy colours, from enchanted saris that shift colours sporadically throughout the day, to the lavishly painted exterior of the academy which is situated in a nondescript location along Ganges River. Due to the frightening rate at which the school’s ancient mango tree (jokingly nicknamed “Mammoth Mango Machine”) produces mangoes, students have to endure the perpetually evolving art of mango cuisine at least five days a week. Every year, to the students’ great enjoyment, classes are halted for Diwali to make time for various competitions that take place: firework flourishes and charms for upper-year students (bonus points if it doesn’t set any part of the school on fire), and lantern designing for lower-year students (use of animals, alive or dead, is forbidden).

Me and my friends have this theory; it’s called Basement Space.
See, Basement Space is any location of sufficient nerdyness or geekiness (however you wanna say it) that it creates a sort of spacial anomaly. Ever dropped a die while playing D&D, or flicked a Magic card token across the room, but never found either again? I’ve personally dropped dice and never heard them land. That’s Basement Space in action, and all Basement Spaces link together. This is why you will sometimes find dice that no one in your group remembers owning.
Also, if anyone finds a black six-sided die with gold pips with a hole drilled in where the ‘one’ pip should be, please send me a note or something so I can arrange for it’s pick up.

Alicia Dominica renoucning High Lord Goge Vandire. M36.
At the height of the Reign of Blood, the Brides of the Emperor were confronted by the Adeptus Custodes in the Imperial Palace on Terra. The Custodes could not convince the Brides that their master, High Lord Vandire, was evil.
In a desperate act, the Custodes Centrurion led Alicia Dominica and five of her closest companions through the place to the resting place of the Emperor.
It’s unknown what occurred in the throne room, but after leaving, Alicia marched to Vandire’s war room. She confronted the tyrant, condemning him for his actions. She then cleaved his head clean from his shoulders, ending the Reign of Blood.
Alicia Dominica went on to found the Sisters of Battle.
At the end of her long and invaluable life, the words she spoke to High Lord Vandire in his final moments, were immortalized on Dominica’s sarcophagus.

St. Alicia Dominica, pray for us.

"I don’t have time to die, i’m too busy!"
-High Lord Goge Vandire

And then his head was struck from his shoulders whilst his rosarius was cleaved in twain.
But if you’ll forgive a minor correction, Alicia Dominica only founded the Sisterhood after M36. In my view, she did something arguably more impressive. She ended the Age of Apostasy and was one of many hands that steered the Imperium in the correct direction in the aftermath.
Now, first and foremost, we don’t know how the original Daughters of the Emperor were founded on San Leor(I have some theories on the matter, but currently they’re all conjecture). As the 2nd edition codex put it, they were “…a particular sect which had previously eluded the attention of the Ministorum. It was a small cult, perhaps only 500 members in total on the little known agri-world of San Leor… The sect, known as the Daughters of the Emperor, contained only female members,* and devoted itself to worship of the Emperor through inner purity…. using a taxing learning process to clear their minds of all worldly considerations, (or as I like to call it, my college years) honing their skills over their entire lives.”
Now hopefully I don’t have to rehash the Age of Apostasy, but the important details are that Vandire columbus’d the sisterhood, elevated them to be his bodyguard, changed their name to the Brides of the Emperor, creepiness be damned, then at the siege of the Ecclesiarchal palace, Alicia received literal summons from the Emperor and after a lovely father-daughter chat, she engaged in the above execution. After that Sebastian Thor was tried for treason, found innocent, and named Ecclesarch (side note: do not try this at home). he initially declined, but after the Captain-General Excelsior of the Custodians had some words with him(Long rumored to be “You will leave Terra as an Ecclesiarch or you will not leave Terra at all”), he accepted the offer, gave the decree passive, and made the Sisterhood the Ecclesiarchy’s Army. Now the 2nd edition codex doesn’t mention what the Sisterhood was doing at this time, but I have my doubts that all of Sebastian Thor’s great ideas were solely his alone.
Okay, if y’all have any questions feel free to ask. sorry about the minor correction.
